AV3000 First Contact
 connects to: Zorro III
Hi Res Version
- 741 x 232, 59K

The AV3000 which stands for Audio/Video was a full length Zorro III video and audio capture card for the Amiga, which also connects to the video slot. It was developed in-house at the James Cook University where it was used in the sports science department for video capture. Unfortunately it was never released to the public. It contains a Philips video memory controller, 1MB of VRAM, video overlay and Amiga video pass through, video FIFO, audio codec and a 128K FlashROM. The board also contains an expansion bus for extending its capabilities. The photo also shows a macrovision video bypass board connected in the top right hand corner.
