Note: This VBS is very similar to the SCART version found here and may share a common origin. It may also be related to the Zulu Warrior.

The VBS allowed you to backup a hard drive or multiple floppy disk images onto video tape using a conventional video recorder (VCR). You can use any recorder including VHS, BetaMax or 8mm as the data was recorded as a video signal. The system required software and manual control as you had to enter the counter position into the software and manually fast-forward or rewind to a specific position to access a backup. A 1084 would be connected to the RGB port (Workbench) and the CVBS input would connect to the VCR signal in order to monitor the backup signal. There is no mention as to whether this system requires PAL/NTSC or works with both.
